Blazing Glory!! Sunsets in Bellingham, Wash.

The past few weeks have offered some blazing and glorious sunsets here in Bellingham, Wash. One of the things I like to shoot during sunsets are something different than what everyone else shoots: the sunset. It’s nice to get something better. During one particular evening, the sight of the setting Sun was too much to bear. I just had to shoot it.

March For Bernie Rally in Bellingham, Washington

It was a beautiful sunny day the Sunday before the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, over 200 supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders gathered to show support for Vermont Senator. Still “Feelin’ the Bern,” they began their march at Bellingham City Hall at the intersection of Commercial Avenue and Lottie Street.

#AvsB – #Alpenglow or #Sunset?

Here are two photos of the same subject but with different light and I’d like to ask which one is your favorite, and why. Please vote in the poll then post your reasoning in the comment section.

A few weeks ago I went out to shoot the last sunset of the year. I headed to one of my favorite places to shoot. The sky was clear, the air crisp and cold, the views were fantastic. Plus, with the cold air, the visibility was astonishing.

From Boulevard Park in Bellingham, Wash., you could see Mt. Robie Reid in British Columbia. The added bonus was the beautiful light cast upon it by the setting Sun

Two Minutes: Long Exposures in Rough Weather

We had a major storm come through Bellingham, Wash., the past few day. On Wednesday, I went to Boulevard Park to practice my long exposures.

I’m still looking for the elusive “silky water” photo I’ve seen in others’ images.
