A few photos of Bellingham and Mount Baker as the setting Sun cast a pink hue over Bellingham Bay a few weeks ago. I didn’t expect the clouds to break and the sky to light up.
Prints of this image are available from 8×12 to larger on my site at Pink Skies over Mt. Baker.
But when it did, I was ready to shoot it. I had my 80-200 set up on a tripod and used exposures between 1/15th of a second to 4 seconds as the light dimmed.
Last Light on Baker
The light in this photo lasted less than 15 seconds. I shot several frames favoring the light on the peak. The hue was beautiful and the light from the sunset reflected off the windows of the city.
Prints for this photo are available on my site at Last Light on Mt. Baker.
