Dick’s Drive-In is one of the best places to get fries. The are tasty, yet a touch soggy and oh so salty. But they are the classic fries you would find from a roadside diner.

One cook bags, the other one salts the fries at Dick's Drive-In in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.
It’s one of my favorite places to go. The classic, yet simple, menu makes ordering easy. No “Have it your way” here, but the burgers remain top notch. The restaurants remind me of burger joints when I was a kid in living in California in the early 70s.
But the fries are the best thing Dick’s has to offer.
Thanks for stopping by.

Nice shot, Pablo! I like the frame-in-a-frame aspect and the splash of blue from the shirts. My dad owned a quintesential Upper Midwest bar & grill called Dick’s Bar & Grill. My brother now owns it and it reflects the basic Midwest menu of burgers and fries. All the help there wears Dick’s Bar t-shirts and, of course, there is a sponsored softball team both men and women. Dad was a lot like Nick at La Cocina in that he made everyone feel like they were welcome and family. When the folks would get up to leave he would always call out to them, “Thanks for stoppin’ by!” Now all the help says it. When dad died in ’01 he was cremated and his ashes were mixed with concrete to make a bench overlooking one of his favorite views. On the bench it says, “Thanks for stoppin’ by!” http://www.dicksbargrill.com

Thanks George.
They have some of the greasiest, slimiest, and saltiest fries, but they are soooo tasty. I stop by every chance I get.
